Review by hotel critic
During our stay, we were captivated by the hotel's seamless fusion of traditional charm and modern amenities. Nestled in the heart of the national park Hohe Tauern, it provided a serene setting, perfect for unwinding amidst nature's grandeur. The architecture showcased a stunning mix of Romantic, Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles, evoking a sense of history and elegance, akin to a royal residence. One standout feature was the great nostalgic collection of metal toys and the model railway world, bridging the gap between old-world romance and contemporary high-tech entertainment. The hotel offered enough space for relaxation and exploration, with the highest mountain in Austria, the Großglockner, standing majestically in the backdrop. The entire staff exuded warmth and hospitality, creating a welcoming "home away from home" ambiance. Their attentiveness and willingness to assist made our stay truly memorable. Beyond the architectural marvels, every corner exuded a cozy charm, setting the stage for a delightful retreat. Our experience was enriched by free bikes to meander through the picturesque surroundings, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay.
